Gwen's Podcast: The 15-Minute Ministry

The inspiration to start this podcast comes after about 38 years of trying to go through life as a seeker of truth and follower of Jesus Christ. It hasn't been without trials and pitfalls, but faithfulness brings great rewards in the long term.

While studying vocal performance and classical music at Western Washington University, a piano professor invited me to her home Bible study. I really connected with her genuineness as a person; and her knowledgeable, straightforward way of communicating. The believers there were accepting of all kinds of people and fun to be around. They talked a lot about God's grace, and emphasized study and research as the way to understand God's word and grow spiritually.

Now, many years later, I have no formal seminary training or title. I'm not a counselor or a know-it-all, but feel led to share bits of Bible knowledge and wisdom to help listeners along life's path, and ultimately into eternal life through Jesus Christ who has blazed a trail for us and is now seated at the right hand of the Throne of God.

I call my music Classical Indie, and there are audio tracks available for download. The bumper music for this podcast is adapted from the Second Gnossienne for Piano (1890) by French modern minimalist composer Erik Satie. The text is taken from 1 Samuel 16:7: “...for the Lord sees not as man sees; For man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart”.
